| Major Duties and Responsibilities: |
- Advertising & Promotion
- Direct and coordinate production of advertising and promotional spot announcements, press releases, and direct mailings to customers, working with local radio & television stations, newspaper, and magazine publishers & distributors.
- Plan and coordinate sales promotion activities with department managers.
- Confer with all department managers to discuss possible new sales promotion campaigns.
- Confer with officials of newspapers, radio and television stations, billboard advertisers, and ad agencies to negotiate advertising contracts.
- Create, review and/or oversee television and radio spots, newspaper / magazine advertising, and other promotional publications.
- Write press releases, newspaper and magazine ad’s. Create other advertising and promotional material (fliers, direct mail inserts) and negotiate with local printers to produce them.
- Manage periodic direct mail campaigns for the dealership.
- Handle all aspects of public relations for the dealership by organizing community events and HOG chapter activities.
- Handle all aspects of activity planning, management, attending meetings, and public relations with the local HOG chapter.
- Organizes dealership events such as fashion shows, open houses, motorcycle rides, and charity events.
- Coordinates local advertising and promo’s with the national campaigns of suppliers.
- Authorize information for publication such as interviews with reporters or articles describing activities of the dealership.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with community leaders and/or officials.
- Create and maintain a positive image for the dealership in the community.
- Monitors and analyzes sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of each promotion campaign.
- Customer Service
- Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.
- Contact customers using mailing lists, tickler files & personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to “Make Things Right”.
- Attend training sessions to keep current with sale promotion techniques.

| Qualifications & Job Requirements: |
- Must have an approachable, likable personality.
- Excellent communication Skills and demonstrated “promotion skills”.
- Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.

| Physical Demands: |
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
- Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push an 600+ lb. motorcycle.

- Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
- Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
- Routinely is involved with outdoor activities and exposed to changing weather conditions.
